HYPER is designed to be a low energy 100% proof of stake coin: PoW mining is only available for the first two weeks before the coin shifts to the 100% PoS phase 1. Coins will stake daily at an interest rate of 5% per month.
HYPER is also designed to be a valuable cryptocurrency for use in online games, emerging virtual worlds, online MMO's, simulations and more. As well as being traded for Bitcoin and Litecoin HYPER aims to be tradeable with many currently popular virtual world currencies such as World of Warcraft Gold and Second Life Lindens. HYPER has 4 distinct stages in its evolution:
Current phase PoW / PoS phase: 72.5 coins per block for the first 40320 blocks (will last approx 2 weeks). Almost 4.5 million HYPER will be mined and staked in these 2 weeks. This phase will also include 5% monthly interest for holders compounding daily.
Pure PoS Phase 1: 5% monthly interest, applied and compounding daily (will last approx 5 years)
Pure PoS Phase 2: 10% annual interest, applied and compounding daily (will last approx another 5 years)
Pure PoS Phase 3: 2% annual interest, applied and compounding daily (will last for eternity, until the Sun swallows the Earth and long after HYPER has become the virtual world currency of choice: as human life will be primarily virtual by this point HYPER will be the de facto global Earth currency as we explore the outer reaches of the galaxy and beyond.)
Due to the number of exchanges and online services / games which will support HYPER over the coming months and years we expect this coin to have a strong, diverse and growing ecosystem.
